Our service includes a series of check(s) to make sure your boiler and central heating are running safely and efficiently. Our engineer will check for:
- Water leak(s)
- Damage and wear and tear
- They’ll also carry out a few safety inspections, such as making sure your boiler is using the right amount of gas and not letting off carbon monoxide and other harmful gases.
It’s one of those things that’s easily overlooked and never really thought about. But, it could be the key to picking up on issues before they become problems. Here we cover some of the main reasons why you should keep up with regular boiler checks.
Getting your boiler serviced regularly will ensure it’s running efficiently and also help to keep it running safely. A faulty boiler can be incredibly dangerous with 250 hospitalisations a year the result of non-fire-related carbon monoxide poisoning between 2001 and 2010 in England & Wales. During a boiler service, a Gas Safe registered engineer will check for leaks and issues, giving you peace of mind when it comes to protecting your family.
Small problems can become big ones if left unattended. By ensuring your boiler is running properly, you can save money on future repairs. Your engineer can detect and fix any minor problems to help avoid future malfunctions and costly repairs. *Your annual services may be more than 12 months apart.

BoilerPointer’s 4 Point Boiler Service Inspection includes:
- A visual inspection of any other encountered gas appliances, written notification of any gas safety defect which may affect the safe operation of your appliances
- A full inspection of the entire chimney structure, inspection and, where necessary, cleaning of the burner, combustion chamber, any injectors and heat exchanger, inspection of ignition devices i.e. pilot lights and/or spark and flame sensing electrodes
- Testing the appliance in accordance with manufacturer's instruction to ensure: the heat input and/or operating pressure are correct, the effectiveness of the flue, that all ventilation requirements are to current standards, the correct operation of all safety devices and that the boiler is safe for continuous use
- An assessment of your current heating controls and best practice advice regarding energy efficiency
